Dawn chorus

Well that was a colder night than I expected! Had to get up in the middle of the night to add layers, and then it was ok. I fell asleep around 8.30pm, so when I woke around 4am it didn't seem too bad ... and then I went out to find this!

So this was my Chapel for morning prayer. Saying Psalms while the birds sang around me and the sun rose. And along came a line from Psalm 27:

"One thing I ask from the Lord,

this only do I seek:

that I may dwell in the house of the Lord

all the days of my life,

to gaze on the beauty of the Lord

and to seek him in his temple."

A glorious start to the day!
