Walking down a back street I came across this car covered in bees. It looks like a hive had fallen from the tree above - there were pieces of broken honeycomb on the car roof and on the ground.
The colony seemed to be crowding around the rear window, so I assume that's where the queen ended up.
They were swarming but not, so it was too get very close for a good look. Fascinating, although not great for the bees, of course.
